Must-Have Games – Wii (THE LAST ONE)

1

I regret to say that this will be the last Must-Have Games for Disturbed Zombie. I have written a post on almost every console ever made, so there isn’t much left. So, I have left Wii for last, and this will be the best post yet. So, go on, keep reading.

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy is one of my favourite games of all time. It has an epic plot where you play as Mario, and (once again) Bowser has stolen Peach. You have to get her back. You wake up in this strange spaceship where you meet a lady called Rosalina. She will guide you through the game. Just going around the spaceship is fun, and you can find 1-ups in different places. During your time of playing the game, the spaceship evolves, as you meet the toads and other things, they are added on to the spaceship. You have six rooms to go into to get to the levels. There is the Terrace, the Fountain, the Kitchen, the Bedroom, the Engine Room and the Garden, but the Garden is a bonus room, where you don’t have a Bowser or Bowser Jr. level, you only get this when you have finished the main game. Each room has about five galaxies. All of the levels are amazing, with just awesome gameplay. If you have a Wii, and you don’t have this game, I am amazed at your stupidity. GET IT!

Super Mario Galaxy 2

This game is the epic sequel to the first game. In this one, AGAIN Bowser has captured Peach, this time you are on a spaceship shaped like Mario’s head. This spaceship is especially awesome, because, like the first game, it evolves around you. As you find allies through the game, they will appear on your ship. This game is a lot like Super Mario Bros. for Wii, because when you step on the button (this takes you into the world map) it looks like an old game with little dots for each galaxy.   The sequel’s gameplay is better than the original’s, because they have added a few things. When you have completed the game, you get to play as Luigi, who is basically Mario, but he is faster and harder to control. I only recommend using Luigi to experienced gamers. You can play as Luigi in the first game as well, but you have to get all 121 stars, which is quite annoying, and really hard to do. I actually gave up because it took up so much of my time. I wanted to play other games as well. This game is really good, and better than the original.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Skyward Sword is a good game, with a very good storyline. You are Link and Zelda has been captured (Is it just me, or does someone get captured EVERY GAME?), and you have to leave Skyworld, and go down to the Earth. It is a really fun game, and I would write more, but I actually haven’t finished the game yet. It is a really good game. It is a true Must-Have.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the third in a series, and it is a really good fighting game, but then again, it is pretty much the only fighting game on Wii. Before I got this game, I thought that this would be one of those games that wouldn’t have a story mode *cough* Mario Kart *cough*. But, it actually had a really good story mode, and I like the Subspace Emissary (that’s its name) better than normal and special Brawls. The only annoying thing about the game was the last level in the Subspace Emissary, which is called The Last Stage. IT IS EVERY LEVEL PUT TOGETHER!!! It is long, and tiresome, but it has a really good ending. You should really get this game.

Mario Kart Wii

As soon as I got this game, I thought,

“WHERE THE HELL IS THE STORY MODE?”

This game has good racing and good tracks, and that kind of thing, but what really disappointed me, was the absence of a story mode, I mean seriously? What is the point of a game with no story mode? See, the premier racing games for Wii are Need For Speed and Driver: San Francisco, and they have a story mode. This game only just snuck into the top 5, mostly because it is racing and Mario put together, which is cool.

Well, that’s it, I’m done and now, I will reveal my last favourite.

FAVOURITE: SUPER MARIO GALAXY 2

Must-Have Games – Atari 7800

0

Alien Brigade

Alien Brigade is a first-person shooter where you are basically defending your planet from an alien attack. An OK game.

Ikari Warriors

In Ikari Warriors, you play as two ninja guys who have guns and randomly shoot people. A pretty random game.

Ninja Golf

Ninja Golf is THE BEST GAME EVER! It combines fighting and stuff with golf. Who cares if you don’t like golf? Just looking at some gameplay will make you want to play it.

Food Fight

In Food Fight, you are in a food fight. You pick up different kinds of foods and throw them at the enemies. Simple as that.

Winter Games

Winter Games is like an olympics game of today. You do different events and get medals. A good game.

FAVOURITE: NINJA GOLF

Must-Have Games – Game & Watch

4

Fire

In Fire, you are two firemen who need to save a number of people from a burning building using a trampoline. A simple, but fun game, and one of the more primitive games.

Octopus

In Octopus, you are a sea diver who is planning to steal all the treasure from the octopus’ cave and this game is just AMAZING. It is so addictive and fun to play. It was rated so well, this is featured as Mr. Game & Watch’s final smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. One of my favourites.

Green House

In Green House, you play as a gardener who has a big pest problem and runs up and down his ladder frantically trying to poison the little worms trying to eat his plants. It is a really fun game and you can play for ages.

Donkey Kong

This is the original Donkey Kong and it plays really well. This is a really good game, but somehow, the Donkey Kong platformer series has not evolved at all. Weird…

Zelda

Zelda is one of the easier Game & Watch games to play, because you just go side to side killing enemies with your sword and boomerang. It is a pretty fun game.

FAVOURITE: OCTOPUS

Must-Have Games – Sega Saturn

Radiant Silvergun

In Radiant Silvergun, you are a jet fighter pilot in a Space Invaders-like game. You have to avoid the lasers getting sent to you by the enemy and laser them yourself. You come up against bosses, and they are really big, but not so hard. A good game, but there isn’t much point to it.

Street Fighter Alpha 3

Street Fighter Alpha 3 is, as all Street Fighter games are, an amazing game in terms of gameplay and controls. The only difference between this and the current games is that the graphics are better. One of my favourites.

Marvel vs Street Fighter

Remember when all the Street Fighter games were about real fighting with the occasional throw? Well, Marvel vs Street Fighter changes all this. With the added bonus of Marvel characters, you have powers as well. You also get to have an alter ego (another player), which enhances combat. A VERY good game.

Rayman

Other than Mario and Sonic, I would say that Rayman is the best platformer game there is. It is like the Mario and Sonic of its time, but (if it’s even possible) it is BETTER than Mario and Sonic. The graphics are amazing and so is the gameplay. A good game.

Astal

Astal is a platformer with good graphics and combat. A second-rate platformer.

FAVOURITE: MARVEL VS STREET FIGHTER

Must-Have Games – Gameboy Advance

0

Wario Ware Twisted

In Wario Ware Twisted, it is very good that the game incorporates moving the Gameboy sideways and up and down. As all Wario Ware games are, Twisted has many minigames in the game. You can play Mario on a spherical-like world and play Metroid by tilting the Gameboy to shoot. A VERY good game.

Advance Wars

Advance Wars is the original in the series, and is a very good game with lots of strategy. I do like Advance Wars on DS, but this one is not as good.

Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi’s Island

Yoshi’s Island is just like any other Mario platformer except for a few substantial differences. In Yoshi’s Island, the ground is not flat, instead of walking as Mario, you are riding on Yoshi, and you are Baby Mario. Also, you swallow enemies. One of my favourites.

Metroid: Zero Mission

Metroid: Zero Mission is a good game in the series, but, since we’re not in 1985 anymore, the game isn’t too appealing to me. It is too much like the original Metroid in this post I did.

Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire

Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are just like all the other Pokemon games, just with a slightly different story. I personally think that the whole series is getting old. Still, a very good game, but not original enough.

FAVOURITE: WARIO WARE TWISTED

Must-Have Games – PlayStation

0

Please note that this is the ORIGINAL PlayStation not the second or third.

Metal Gear Solid

In Metal Gear Solid, you have to go around shooting the enemies, dodging the sight on security cameras. Not one of my favourites.

Ape Escape

In Ape Escape, you have to kill some enemies, and with the others, you need to use your time-zapping net to zap them through time. What’s not fun about that?

Gran Turismo 2

Gran Turismo 2 was a very good racer for its time. It had lots of “add-ons” like the speedometer on screen, your lap times and your sector times. A good racer.

Tekken 3

Tekken 3 is a very good fighter and, although not as good as Street Fighter, it is very good with good combos.

Crash Team Racing

At the start, Crash Team Racing is a lot like Diddy Kong Racing because you have to go around a map and drive into courses through portals. I  like that in a racing game, but sadly other Mario Kart games do not have this. In races, Crash Team Racing is very good, with lots of item boxes and very complex courses. I would almost go as far as to say that this is better than its Mario Kart equivalent of its time.

FAVOURITE: CRASH TEAM RACING

Must-Have Games – Atari 2600

Barnstorming

In Barnstorming, you just keep flying along and dodging birds. The levels aren’t even randomly generated, it is always in the same order.

Kaboom!

In Kaboom!, you are in control of the tiles at the bottom of the screen, and you have to make sure none of the bombs hit the ground.

River Raid

In River Raid, you are a waterplane, and you have to shoot everything in your path, and if you hit something you haven’t shot, you will die.

Pressure Cooker

In Pressure Cooker, you are a chef, and you move around, grabbing ingredients and putting them on the pass. Then, you grab the meal and it in one of the chutes.

Pitfall

Pitfall is one of the first endless runners ever made. You have to dodge enemies and jump over pits. A really good game.
